How heavy grass mat be?

Our mats weigh 13.5 kg – most rubber interlocking grass mats on the market weigh around 11 kg. This means that the mats are of better quality and more durable. This is especially important after a long period of use. Our mats do not break, the ties do not break the holes and the surface remains stable for years.

What is the thickness of a mat?

Most mats are 23 mm thick as standard. However, cheaper mats tend to have a thinner base layer and therefore longer pins that protrude at the bottom. Manufacturers use this trick to reduce the weight of the mat and therefore the rubber content of the product. As a result, the mats have weaker physical and mechanical properties.

How thick is the outer edge of the mat?

Our rubber interlocking grass mats have an enlarged outer surface – 10 mm edge. This prevents the mats from cutting through during assembly.

Are there any visible contaminants in the rubber in the mat?

Cheaper mats have visible contaminants. Our mats are always smooth and evenly finished.

Has the mat been tested according to the latest standard EN 1177:2018?

Check that the existing mats meet the latest safety standards.
